This project answers two question related to the role of museums in contemporary culture. First of all the building should be a neutral location for art, and it shouldn't compete with the museum's collection. At the same time the museum's architecture should reflect the city's prestige, the institution's intentions, and the status of the collection. The architect's chosen layout and form for the museum defines its character and also highlights Wrocław's place on the cultural map of Poland. This architectural statement intends to create both an environment in which this city will be able to participate in the exchange of contemporary art exhibitions with other cities, as well locate the museum in the global network of partner institutions.
